After the Galaxy M10 (Review) and M20 (Review), it seems Samsung is readying its next Galaxy M phone. Based on what rumours have said so far, you can expect the company to announce the Galaxy M30 next.
The Galaxy M30 is expected to bring a similar design language as the
M20 and M10, but with a few new features to justify a higher price tag. A
leaked schematic has now been spotted online, revealing what some of
these new features might be.
The Galaxy M30 design schematics has
been leaked by Pricekart.com, giving us an image of the alleged
smartphone along with some features listed down. Keeping in line with
past rumours, the Galaxy M30 will bring an Infinity-V display like the
M20 and M10. The only difference will be that the M30 will likely get an
AMOLED panel rather than TFT. The phone is rendered with a waterdrop
notch on top and chin bezel. The screen is rumoured to be 6.38 inches in
size and is expected to bring a FHD+ resolution.
The waterdrop notch is said to house a 16MP front-facing camera, as
per the drawing. And speaking of cameras, the Galaxy M30 is tipped to
come with a triple camera system on the back, similar to the Galaxy A7
(2018). The schematic shows a vertical layout of the camera setup on the
back and lists the configuration as 13MP + 5MP + 5MP. It is assumed
that the camera system will include an ultra wide-angle lens and a
telephoto lens.
The
design layout also sees a fingerprint sensor on the back, a USB Type-C
port on the bottom, LED flash just below the triple camera system, a
microphone on top, and a dimension of 159x75.1mm. The layout does not
mention a 3.5mm headphone jack, so it is unclear whether Samsung is
dropping the port with the Galaxy M30.
As for everything else, the
Galaxy M30 is expected to get the same Exynos 7904 chipset that powers
the Galaxy M20. This could be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of
internal storage. Another big USP of the device the 5,000mAh battery
that is rumoured to feature inside the M30. As for its pricing and
release date, that remains to be seen in a future leak.
